Terms of Service

Last updated: August 29, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

SnapAPI ("the Service") is operated by an individual developer ("we", "us", or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Service, including the website, API, MCP server, and dashboard.

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of them, you may not use the Service.

2. Service Description

The Service provides:

  • A screenshot capture API (PNG, JPEG, and PDF output)
  • An MCP server for use with AI assistants
  • A dashboard for account, API key, billing, and usage management

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to avoid disrupting existing usage.

3. Your Account

To use the Service, you sign in with a Google account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate account information
  • Be responsible for all activity under your account
  • Keep your API keys confidential and secure
  • Not share API keys with unauthorized parties or expose them in client-side code
  • Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use
  • Revoke and regenerate keys if you suspect they have been compromised

You are responsible for all requests made with your API keys, including credit consumption.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Capture content you do not have the right to access or use
  • Capture pages containing illegal or harmful content
  • Circumvent access controls, paywalls, or authentication systems
  • Overload, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service
  • Harass, harm, or defraud others
  • Resell or redistribute access to the API without authorization

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules or that generate abusive or fraudulent traffic.

5. API Usage

  • Rate limits: request rates are limited according to your plan; requests above the limit receive a rate-limit response and are not charged.
  • Credits: each successful capture consumes credits based on your plan. Requests that fail due to the target page (for example, an unreachable URL) are not charged.
  • Fair use: automated abuse or usage patterns that threaten the stability of the Service may be restricted.
  • Availability: the Service is provided as-is. We work to keep it reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and scheduled maintenance may cause temporary downtime.

6. Payments, Subscriptions, and Refunds

  • Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis through our payment provider. Prices may change with reasonable prior notice.
  • You can cancel your subscription at any time from the billing page in the dashboard; access continues until the end of the paid period.
  • Unused credits expire at the end of a billing period and are not refundable or transferable.
  • If you are unsatisfied, use the merchant contact option included in your payment order receipt — refund requests are considered case by case.

7. Intellectual Property

  • The Service, including its website, documentation, and original content, is owned by the operator and protected by copyright and other laws.
  • You retain ownership of the screenshots and outputs you create using the Service. You grant us the limited rights needed to process your requests and deliver the results.
  • Screenshots may contain content owned by third parties. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to capture and use that content.

8. Third-Party Sites and Services

The Service captures web pages at URLs you choose. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, availability, or practices of third-party websites. You use the Service to access third-party content at your own discretion.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, revenue, or data, or business interruption, arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for accounts that breach these Terms, with API keys deactivated accordingly. You may stop using the Service at any time, and can cancel your subscription from the billing page. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends and your data is handled according to our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date, and material changes may be announced through the website or dashboard. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator resides, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You agree to resolve any dispute with us informally first by contacting us.

13. Contact

The Service is operated by an individual developer. If you have questions about these Terms, use the merchant contact option included in your payment order receipt.
